Google Friend Connect

Hello friends!

Just making a quick post here as there have been many people talking about the "removal" of the Google Friend Connect or "Followers" widget you see on the side of my blog.

(It's the one with the photos of people underneath "Smiling Followers" title)

You may have read somewhere or seen where Google Friend Connect is being discontinued after March 1st for the NON-Blogger blogs like Wordpress, etc.  So many people have been turning to another service called Linky Followers.  It supposed to be for anyone weather you have a Wordpress, Typepad or NO blog at all....you should be able to follow anyone.  

There is nice detailed information about it from this article HERE so you can read more about what it is all about and how it can help you with your blog or the people you like to follow, etc.

I have decided to add it to my sidebar just in case there are Google Friend Connect followers on my blog and are concerned about it.  I may also suggest that you can follow me through any feed reader by clicking on the link next to the orange square in my sidebar.  You can also receive updates through my blog via Facebook or Networked Blogs as well as subscribing through e-mail to receive updates.  (These services are all on the sidebar of my blog.)

Just wanted to re-assure those that are switching to something else or want to subscribe another way for my blog updates can still do it any way they choose.
