Hello friends and happy Monday!!
I hope you all enjoyed your weekend...mine was so busy and I plan to be quite busy this entire week as well!! So thank you for hanging in there with me until I'm able to spend more time on the computer.
So today brings us the first challenge in October at House Mouse & Friends!! Yay!
And of course with this being October, we had to have some fun Fall colors to play with!! Our lovely HM&F teamie, Sue D., has issued the fun color combo of:
ORANGE, BLACK, GREEN & YELLOW
You don't *have* to make a Halloween creation, but I love Halloween, so I had to try it out!
Here's what I've come up with using this color combo:
LOL!! If you've been following my blog for a while, then you may realize that I love the House Mouse stamps, but I also adore Doxies!!! I have one myself named Mocca. Although, I don't think Mocca would be as thrilled as this one looks about mice riding on her back!! LOL!!
OK...so you know, I love Halloween, but can you believe that I have NO Halloween type House Mouse stamps?!! ACCK!! Not good...I've got to go shopping!! :) So I decided to try and think outside the box a bit with the stamps that I do have!
I've taken this fun House Mouse stamp called Hot Dog Express (click name to see original look of the stamp.) I decided to turn it into a Halloween style image by adding some other images to it. I added a witch hat on the dog and the back mouse. I also added a "treat bag" image to the mouse in the middle as if he's holding on to it. I also added a star filled sky so it looks like they're out for some trick-or-treating. I figured the mouse wearing the witch hat was doing the trick-or-treating, the middle mouse is hanging onto all of the loot they get and the front mouse has to steer the dog!! LOL!! (I wonder if the bag is full and they're all on their way back home to eat all of the goodies?!) And of course if you catch the sentiment at the top, that was computer generated by myself...thought it went well with the image!

Vicki, this just makes you smile! LOVE what you did with this stamp to make it about Halloween. The image is colored beautifully, and the leaves in the corners fit in perfectly. What a Fabulous creation. Knew you would come up with something wonderful!!
