Guest Designer for Tuesday Throwdown!!!

CLICK HERE for my Birthday Blog Candy give away!
--------------------------------------------------

Hello my friends!!  Happy Tuesday and the beginning of a new week in October!!  WOW!  That got here really fast, didn't it?!!  The leaves are starting to change color here and looking so pretty!

I am VERY thrilled today because I get to share with you that I've been asked by the lovely Davi from the Tuesday Throwdown challenge blog to be their guest designer for the month of October! :)  So I am very thrilled to be apart of this with them!  Thank you to the wonderful ladies at Tuesday Throwdown for inviting me along!  So I hope you will join us for a month filled with lots of fun challenges and awesome inspiration!!

So....this week's challenge...and appropriately fitting for the beginning of October is
HALLOWEEN!!!!
They would like to see your fun, cute or spooky Halloween projects!!  Here's what I decided to make for the challenge:
This week Tuesday Throwdown is being sponsored by Robyn's Fetish Digital Stamps
So they sent me these fun Halloween images to play with! :)  I've used this really adorable Mark Mummy image and colored his hair green, his "inside body" purplish.  I also gave him a bit of shimmer by brushing on some smooch over his bandages.  I've got some cloth resembling gauze underneath the black layer for a bit of an accent.  I've also used this sweet Bearly a Pumpkin image, colored him in and poured some crystal lacquer over the pumpkins and glittered up the face to make him sweeter! :)  I've also used the pretty Coney Island Summers Digital Papers from Robyn's Fetish that I previously had and thought it matched perfectly for this pumpkin theme!

As you can see, I've decided not to make a card, but with these really sweet images, I thought they would make for really adorable Halloween treat containers!  They're so super easy to make and here you can see an inside shot of what they look like:
I've got the flaps held down with a piece of velcro so they will stay shut until someone opens it up to reveal a nice little treat inside! :)  You can even put a greeting on the inside as well.  The flat miniature Hershey chocolate bars fit perfectly in the slot and I thought if your Trick-or-Treaters fancy a bit more...you could fold up some money to add for an extra treat!! :)

Like I said, these are so fun and easy to make!  Here's the directions if you'd like to try one for yourself:
1.  Take a desired color of card stock cut at 10" x 2 1/2"
2.  Score the 10" side at 7 3/4", 7 1/4", 3 3/4", 3 1/4", 1" and at 7/16"
3.  Use the "word window" punch (or similar) to punch between the 7/16" and 1" score marks.
4.  Attach any desired papers on the three largest panels, fold all score marks.
5.  Attach some sticky strip or red line tape between the edge and 7/16" score mark.  You will fold this over and attach to the inside of holder. (You will see how it all fits together when you fold up the score marks.)
6.  Attach a piece of velcro to the flap or a magnet closure, etc. to help keep flap closed.
7.  Insert your candy bar, add a tag, etc. to finish up as desired!

Here are some other challenges I played in:
Simon Says Stamp - anything goes
4 Crafty Chicks - anything goes
Crafts 4 Eternity - anything goes
ABC Challenge - A is for anything goes
Crafty Cardmakers - anything goes
Hooked on Craft - Anything BUT a card
Stamp with Fun - Halloween

That's it for me today friends!  Hope you enjoyed my post and I hope that you will stop by the Tuesday Throwdown blog to see all of the gorgeous inspiration from the design team and get our your Halloween crafty goodies to play along with us!!  Can't wait to see what you come up with!!
Thanks for stopping by!!
